PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION MISSION STATEMENT

  • Promote a strong sense of community in The Hudson School
  • Provide a forum for the exchange of information among parents to address issues and concerns to all.
  • Represent the views of the parents to the school
  • Support the school’s programs with fundraising activities
  • Organize programs and activities that will enrich the Students and Parents’ experience at the school.
  • Act as a resource to the school in a variety of capacities.

LETTER FROM PA CO-CHAIRS

Dear Parents,

These are exciting times at our school.  We felt an amazing amount positive energy that came from our Hudson community at our Welcome Breakfast to kick off the 2017-2018 school year! Everyone was excited to return, people were connecting and meeting new people, we had our first stunning Hudson School Cake designed by Sonia Puri a Hudson School parent, and there were so many amazing homemade baked goods for all to enjoy. The best outcome of this event was that we started building strong bonds as a Hudson School Parent community.

As a parent at The Hudson School, you are automatically a member of our Parents’ Association. Parents are stakeholders, and along with teachers, administrators, and students, we work together to create the best possible learning experience for our children. We strive to assist the school and the teachers whenever they have a need for extra help or resources. Additionally, parents bring unique passions and expertise to our community, enriching student and family life and curriculum. Where you can help whether it’s donating your time to volunteer at events, or if it’s sharing your talents (ie: writing a press release, or volunteering to run an event), or if it’s donating your treasure -(ie: volunteering your homes for class potlucks or helping us out with our fundraisers financially), we welcome any and all contributions you can make to help build a strong Parents Association at The Hudson School.

Participating in the Parents Association is FUN, REWARDING, and a great way to  meet other parents, reinforce your child’s positive experiences at the school, and work side-by-side with the school’s brilliant and caring faculty and administration.

  • Haunted Hudson- Friday, 10/27 7-9PM (all Parents, Students and Faculty welcome).  Come dressed in costume!  If you would like to volunteer please reach out to the PA@thehudsonschool.org to find out how to sign up for a role.
  • Thursday, 11/8 (4-8 PM) Panera Night! 310 Washington Street 4-8 PM, 20% of proceeds donated back to The Hudson School. Bring promotional flier to event.
  • November (month-long)- Minted.com Holiday Card Fundraiser, 15% of proceeds from purchase donated back to The Hudson School, 15% off promo code to use as well online.
  • Tuesday, 12/5 6-8PM Little City Books (Hoboken Location at 100 Bloomfield Street)- Wine & Cheese Holiday Shopping event-20% of proceeds from event donated back to The Hudson School, Online Shopping 12/2-12/10 (20% of proceeds donated back to The HudsonS chool)
  • Wednesday, 12/134-8PM-Chipotle 223 Washington Street, Hoboken-50% of proceeds donated back to The Hudson School. Bring promotional flier to event.
Our next Parents Association Meeting will be held Thursday, 10/26 at 6:30 PM in The Hudson      School cafeteria.  We hope to see you there!
