Our Mission:

The Hudson School provides intellectually inquisitive students with a rigorous and relevant college-preparatory education that inspires independent thinking and intellectual risk-taking. Our goal is to develop compassionate, responsible, principled citizens who are socially conscious and committed to lifelong learning and service. The school fosters an eclectic and supportive environment that challenges students and faculty to develop their passions and talents through a stimulating, balanced and creative interdisciplinary curriculum.

A Natural Affinity for Learning

Children are inherently capable learners.

We believe that learning is most meaningful when it connects to students’ interests, experiences, and the world around them. We foster an atmosphere where questions are welcomed, exploration is encouraged, and mistakes are viewed as valuable learning opportunities. Our educational philosophy is built on respect for each child’s individuality while challenging them to stretch beyond what they thought possible.

Character and Community

Nurturing the mind, the heart, and the spirit.

Academic excellence goes hand in hand with character development at The Hudson School. Our community values respect, integrity, compassion, and responsibility. Students learn to appreciate diversity, develop empathy, and understand their role in making positive contributions to their community and the world. We foster an inclusive environment where every student feels valued and supported.
